#LovingWhereWeLive with Upstream Artist Fellow ⁠Aliza Novacek-Olson — a fiber artist from rural Roseau. Tradition and culture are reflected in her work; embracing the past through the practice of ancient methods and primitive tools to spin, felt, weave, crochet, nålbind, and dye materials using locally harvested resources. Aliza plans to use what she forages in the woodlands near her home to create art during this fellowship.
