Growing up as a Black and First-Generation Immigrant in Minnesota, he was shunned upon at a young age to explore and enjoy the outdoors. The photographer shared, "….my purpose with the images I plan to capture is to show the reconnection to nature that most people of my background end up experiencing once they reach a certain age."
