Ecolab has been partnering with The Nature Conservancy and Great River Greening for many years. In 2013 they kicked off an annual, family friendly volunteer event planting trees and pollinator friendly species at various treasured locations around the Twin Cities area, including Victoria Park in St. Paul, Hidden Falls, a popular summer spot for families, and Pilot Knob Preserve, a sacred site to the Dakota people. The volunteer locations are chosen each year based upon conservation need, ecosystem services provided, and benefits to the community.
The event, which happens every year rain or shine, has been successfully restoring and beautifying these special places. Over one hundred Ecolab employees have participated in these volunteer events. The Ecolab Foundation has also made philanthropic gifts to support the important work of these organizations.
Great River Greening, Minnesota’s leader in community-based restoration, is devoted to stewardship in the metro area. https://www.greatrivergreening.org/
